Get started with Pro

DocuSeal Pro unlocks unlimited signature requests created with the UI dashboard, company branding, company sender email address, automated reminders, SSO, user roles and teams, webhooks, and the API and embedding, so you can automate eSignature workflows or build eSignature directly into your SaaS or CRM product. This guide covers the Pro subscription, billing, the API, add-ons, and vendor assessment.

Cloud

DocuSeal Cloud runs in two independent regions: docuseal.com and docuseal.eu for EU data residency.

  1. Create a free account or sign in to your existing account.
  2. Open the Plans page in the DocuSeal Console:
  3. Select Monthly or Yearly billing and click Upgrade to Pro.
  4. Complete the checkout with your payment details.

Pro features are available in your account as soon as the payment is complete. To add users, switch to annual billing, or update the company details on your invoices, see Manage subscription.

On-premises

Pro On-premises is an annual license for organizations that choose to run DocuSeal on their own infrastructure. The license is purchased and managed in the same DocuSeal Console.

  1. Create a free account or sign in to your existing account.
  2. Open the On-Premises License page in the DocuSeal Console:
  3. Click Buy Pro License and complete the checkout.
  4. Follow the Pro installation instructions on the same page to start DocuSeal Pro on your server with Docker Compose.
  5. Enter your Installation URL (for example, https://docuseal.your-company-name.com) and click Register to activate the license.

Pro billing

Pro is priced per platform user, meaning each user who logs in to the DocuSeal app dashboard. Signers or embedded users are not billed as users.

Pay as you go fees

Some Pro features are billed based on usage:

  • API and embedding: $0.20 per completed submission created via the API or embedded signing. A submission can contain multiple files signed by multiple parties.
  • SMS: 20 SMS per month are included with Pro Cloud, then $0.20 per SMS. This applies to signature requests sent via SMS and phone number 2FA.
  • Bulk send (Cloud): 50 completions per month via bulk send are free, then $0.20 per completion.

Usage fees are invoiced and automatically billed monthly, at the end of each monthly billing period, based on your actual usage in that period. This applies to both monthly and annual subscriptions. You can track the current usage on the Billing page in the Cloud. All invoices are available on the Billing page.

For enterprise customers with more than 60,000 API or embedding completions per year, contact sales@docuseal.com for volume pricing and an annual contract.

Use the Pro API

The DocuSeal API lets you create templates, send documents for signature, and download completed documents from your own application.

  1. Copy your API key from the API page in the Console:
  2. Find the full API reference and Embedding reference on our website, or click AI Agent Skill on the Developers page to install the DocuSeal skill in your AI coding agent and get started.
  3. Use one of the official API SDKs for JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Ruby, PHP, Java, C#, or Go, and embedding components for JavaScript, React, Vue, or Angular.

Developer sandbox

Every account includes a free Test Mode (Developer Sandbox) with its own API keys. It is completely isolated from your production account, so you can build and test your integration, including Pro-only endpoints and embedding, without paying usage fees. Switch the API key to the production key once your integration is ready, see Use Test Mode.

Pro add-ons

  • HIPAA: a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is available for Pro Annual Cloud accounts at a one-time fee of $200, it’s possible to request BAA via the HIPAA page.
  • 21 CFR Part 11: contact support@docuseal.com to enable 21 CFR Part 11 compliant signing in your account.
  • KBA: contact support@docuseal.com to enable KBA verification of signers with questions from public records ($2 per KBA).
  • QES: eIDAS qualified or advanced signatures are available for Pro customers on docuseal.eu ($2 to $4 per QES).
  • ID verification: contact support@docuseal.com to enable ID card verification for signers ($2 per verification).
  • Custom domain: a custom signing page domain (for instance, sign.company.com) is available for Pro Annual Cloud customers via the Domains Console. For a custom sender email domain, see Connect Gmail or Outlook.

Vendor assessment

DocuSeal Cloud is SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified. If your organization requires a security review or vendor assessment before subscribing to Pro, you can download all the supporting documents from the DocuSeal Trust Center.

The Documents section of the Trust Center includes:

  • SOC 2 Type II report: an independent audit of the security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy controls of DocuSeal Cloud.
  • ISO 27001 certificate: confirms that the DocuSeal Information Security Management System meets the international standard for information security.
  • Other security and compliance documents, including HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR, and the Data Processing Agreement (DPA).

Share the Trust Center link with your security or procurement team so they can download the documents they need and complete the assessment.
